Sultan is among the most legendary sporting movies in Bollywood that incorporates emotion, romance and action in a strong film experience. The movie, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, is a debut of Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma who portrayed memorable roles that made a great impression on viewers.

Storyline of Sultan

The novel is about a small-town wrestler, Sultan Ali Khan, of Haryana who becomes a famous wrestler through hard work and determination. At first, Sultan is a carefree and lost person, but his life alters, after he encounters Aarfa, a state-level wrestler, who motivates him to take the sport seriously.

As Sultan climbs the ladder of success, he wins championships and becomes a national hero. But personal tragedy and ego contrives his ruin. The second part of the movie is devoted to his redemption, he goes to the ring and fights against not only his enemies but also his personality.

Performances and Acting

Sultan features one of the best performances of Salman Khan in his career. His change of body and his emotional richness makes the character real. He is a believable and fascinating character as a young wrestler and an older, broken man.

Anushka Sharma is a bright star as Aarfa with power and elegance in her role. She is not merely a love interest but a separate character who adds a lot of contribution to the plot. Her wrestling scenes and Haryanvi accent were much appreciated.

The supporting characters, such as Randeep Hooda, who plays the role of the coach of Sultan, bring the story to life.

Direction and Cinematography

Director Ali Abbas Zafar is a good balancing act involving sports action and emotional narrative. There are wrestling scenes which are very intense and well choreographed to provide the viewers with an illusion of the sport.

The camera work is able to capture the rustic charm of Haryana and the buzzing energy of wrestling arenas. The background score gives the film an even greater impact as in the emotional moments.

Music and Songs

The music of Sultan composed by Vishal-Shekhar has been instrumental in making the film successful. Such songs as Jag Ghoomeya and Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai turned out to be chartbusters. The music underlines the story and gives it a sense of emotion.
